Gung hee fa choy!



No, I'm not talking crazy-talk. I'm typing Chinese..."Happy Chinese New Year!".

The first day of the Chinese new year for 2010 landed on February 14. Here are my two favorite things to do on the weekend of the Chinese new year:

1. Soup dumplings at Shanghai Cuisine in Chinatown, NYC



2. Followed by dessert (ice cream!) at Chinatown Ice Cream Factory

Another tradition? Don't wash your hair...for good luck all year.

Oh, and 2010 is the Year of the Tiger. Grrrr.
